Hello! My name is Andy, and I’m responsible for outreach and development here at Silver Lining Recovery. I grew up in Anchorage, Alaska, where I struggled with alcoholism and drug addiction, which eventually led me down the path to sobriety. I moved to Orange County in the winter of 2017, attended substance abuse treatment, became a member of a 12-step program, and now practice the program’s teachings daily to maintain my sobriety. Currently, aside from my occupation at Silver Lining, I’m working towards a BA in economics at California State, Long Beach, and plan to graduate in the spring of 2022.
Beyond my passion for helping others achieve sobriety through a combination of different treatment styles, I enjoy snowboarding in the Californian mountains, surfing, and many other physically-demanding sports and hobbies. I’m an avid runner and weight lifter, and a major advocate for the application of the necessary structure and intensity required to maintain physical fitness towards sobriety. If you have any questions about myself or about Silver Lining, please feel free to reach out, I look forward to hearing from you!
